Harissa Meatball Platter With Great Frogs ‘Share the Love Rosé’

Harissa is a spicy Morrocan paste, which brings ordinary meatballs to a whole new dimension. The Platter consist of warmed pita bread, roasted zucchini, red bell pepper, hummus of choice, kalmatta olives and creamed feta. All the flavors of this platter liven the taste buds, and accompanied by Great Frogs Share the Love Rosé, you have one delicious and satisfying meal. Served as a simple quiet dinner or with a group of friends. Enjoy!

Meatballs

1 lb ground chicken, turkey or lean ground beef

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 small minced onion

1/2 cup panko crumbs

Harrisa Paste

lemon

salt and pepper

Veggies

2 large Bell pepper, sliced, (red & yellow)

Feta

6 oz container of feta cheese

2 oz cream cheese

1 glove garlic

Extras

kalmatta olives & Lemon wedges

Method

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix meatball ingredients together except Harissa paste. Form into meatballs and place in oven fo 20 min or until mostly done. Remove from oven, raise oven temp to 425 degrees. In bowl mix together 2 tbsp Harissa paste, juice from I/2 lemon, 1 tbsp olive oil, another sprinkle of garlic powder, then toss in meatballs to coat. Place on parchment paper lined pan.

While meatballs are baking, slice veggies, toss with olive oil, salt and pepper. place on parchment paper lined pan. You may roast veggies at the same time or place peppers in for 10 min, then add zucchini for the final 10 min. Place harissa coated meatballs in oven for final 10 min of veggie roasting.

During the veggie roasting, whip together feta, cream cheese and garlic in small food processor until creamy.

Remove all things from oven, place on plater for family style or on individual plates. Drizzle with a little olive oil (optional)

Notes: Remember the lemon wedges, olives and a sprinkle of chopped parsley !
